What happened¶
A Board Work Session (not a regular action meeting). Two supporting documents — both substantive: the ICCSD FY2024-2028 Audit RFP Recommendation (the formal staff recommendation for the multi-year audit engagement that the district needed to catch up its overdue audit cycle), and a Financial Update — Feb 17 Board Work Session (Final).
Significance. This meeting was the first formal board acknowledgment in 2026 of the multi-year audit backlog that would dominate the financial-management response for the rest of the year. The recommended audit firm and engagement structure here would later be the framework that incoming CFO Pat Moore inherited and built her May 26 catch-up plan on (FY24 audit by July 2026; FY25 by November; FY26 by the March 31, 2027 statutory deadline; FY23 restatement in progress).
